My house is sick, my head is aching, my clients are waiting for their orders and I’m absolutely exhausted. Work was all supposed to be wrapped up two weeks ago. I’m supposed to be taking care of, playing with and enjoying my family and I ache inside knowing that I’m still not, especially knowing that they are sick. A couple of you offered to help, thank you so much – you guys are all amazing and you have know idea how much your support is appreciated. It truly bolsters me up. I’m sorry I’m so whiney today and I’m sorry I don’t know how to spell whiney.
So… I’m sorry (geesh I’m apologizing a lot) to say that there is no real post today but I wanted to give all of you last minute-ers one final reminder to get your about me pages done and submit for the contest! I’m REALLY looking forward to reading everyone submissions!! Good Luck!

Leah, thank you for being real; thank you for being honest. I needed to read this post more than you know. I’m a newbie and I love this amazing adventure the Lord and I are on together but, I too am exhausted right now. The phone has not stopped ringing and my clients are still placing orders, orders that I hope will arrive before Christmas. And my full time job is not photography, but as a high school teacher and this is semester exam week! I am rarely sick ever but I am running a fever tonight and I have albums to design as well as 3 major orders to send off to the printers, a last minute gallery to upload, one last photo session this week, and phone calls to return. I am so grateful for my photography business and the absolute joy it brings but how do I slow it down so that I can enjoy celebrating the true meaning of Christmas with my precious family? If you find a solution, please let me know!!!
I feel for you. I am not in this situation at all, never have been, but I hope to be very busy with my business once I get going. Reading your post makes me wish I could give you a big hug! I really think you need to give yourself a break. Take a two weeks and just allow yourself to breathe and be with your family. Once you have your Christmas orders together, you should really REALLY take a break. I’m sure the others reading this blog would agree, we would much rather have a healthy happy Leah, than one who’s heart is aching.
As for me, I must admit, I’ve decided to give myself one last break. I am planning on launching my business (for real) in January. Not that I am expecting to be SWAMPED when I do, I just know it’s going to take a lot of work to keep up my dream and run my business the way I want to. I won’t be submitting an entry. This makes me SO sad cause I would love and do desperately need everything you have offered in the giveaway. So I will take one last look at my calendar (I wrote the deadline on it), scratch it off, and take my girls to their grandparents house for an afternoon visit. Oh it pains me so to say that! Ha ha ha REALLY, I absolutely wanted to do this so much!
I feel for you, Leah! Here it is, the 15th, and I have not had a single chance to get in front of the camera. Between my crazy schedule and hubby’s crazier schedule, I have not had 5 minutes to myself in the last several weeks. And to top off our crazy schedules, the whole family was sick for most of last week/weekend. So, I guess I won’t be able to submit an entry for the contest after all. But, the good news is that next week, we both have two weeks off from our jobs at the school, and I do plan on taking advantage of that! I am hoping to complete your challenge before the end of the year, even though it means that I won’t have a chance to win the contest.
